About Bichon Frise

The increased popularity of Bichons comes as no surprise.  This great little dog has a sweet loving temperament which make them a great choice for a family pet.  They are wonderful pets for children and excellent companions for seniors.

They adapt to just about any life style.  They are always ready to go to the soccer game with the family, hiking around the lake or going for that walk around the neighborhood.  They are playful and full of life but can also settle down in a quiet home atmosphere.  Bichons are also suitable for family member that suffer from allergies.  They do not shed as other breeds do and seem to have very little dander.

Grooming

Hair styles are a personal preference.  There is no need to keep a Bichon in a show coat.  Most people prefer to keep the coat in a short pet clip.  With keeping the fluffy face and tail your Bichon will always look like a Bichon.  This requires very little grooming on you part.  Having a professional pet groomer trim your pet in a short clip every 5 to 6 weeks will keep it cute and comfortable.

Socializing

Bichons make excellent pets for children.  Its very important to teach children to be gentle and loving.  Bichons as well as any dog, respond best to kindness and gentleness.
